Advanced Technology:

ELECTROLYZED WATER

Re-Imagining Clean with EnviroNize®

Pure, organic, sustainable, and safe – this is the re-imagined future we see at EnviroNize®. Hypochlorous acid

(HOCl) is how we make this vision a reality. Our next generation production technology allows us to harness

basic elements to produce pure EnviroNize® Anolyte.

EnviroNize® Electrolyzed Water

A PROVEN, SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO CHEMICAL CLEANERS & DISINFECTANTS

EnviroNize® Electrolyzed Water technology combines low levels of electricity, common salt and ordinary tap water through a process known as electrolysis

Light saline water passes through a patented electrolytic cell creating two novel technical solutions:

ENVIRONIZE® ANOLYTE - a sanitizer / disinfectant

ENVIRONIZE® CATHOLYTE - a cleaner / degreaser

HOCl (Hypochlorous Acid) is the combined element of Hydrogen, Oxygen and Chlorine. EnviroNize® HOCl is safely produced by way of an electrolyzed brine solution with formula-specific controls and set points. In our bodies, HOCl is produced inside white blood cells and once formed, becomes one of the fundamental mechanisms of our human defence system. It battles pathogens and bacteria within our body to maintain overall health.

ABOUT

Electrolyzed Water

WHAT IS pH?

pH is a scale measuring the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The scientific definition is 'the negative logarithm of the Hydrogen ion concentration'. The pH scale is a measurement of the concentration of acid or base a substance contains and is calculated by determining the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+).

High hydrogen ion amounts indicate high acid concentration, low hydrogen ion amounts indicate a basic or alkaline concentration. The pH scale runs from 0 to 14 with 0 being the most acidic, 7 neutral, and 14 being the most alkaline or basic. It is a logarithmic scale, based on powers of 10, so that 1 pH unit change equals a 10-fold change in H+ ion concentration! A pH of 6 is ten times more acidic than a pH of 7.

JUST THE FACTS

Maximum disinfecting efficacy is achieved at pH 4-6, because essentially all the chlorine is present as Hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Below pH 4, increasing amounts of Cl2 are present which will evolve from solution and be lost to the system at atmospheric pressure. Chlorine gas is also quite toxic, so pH below 4 should be avoided. On balance, for safety and efficacy a pH of 4-6 works best!

Did you Know?

• Alcohols lack sporicidal action and cannot penetrate protein-rich bacterial spores.

• Hypochlorous Acid can penetrate pathogenic microorganism cell walls very easily, thus making it a very effective disinfectant.

Although bleach and alcohol are commonly thought of as the most effective disinfectants, Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is proven to be equally effective without the harmful properties other disinfectants have.

WHAT IS ORP

ORP is known as redox potential, oxidation / reduction potential, and is a measure of the tendency of a chemical species to acquire electrons and thereby be reduced. Reduction potential is measured in volts (V), or millivolts (mV). When the ORP is shown as a negative it is referred to as an Antioxidant and when the ORP is shown as a positive range it is referred to as an Oxidant.

Oxidation reduction potential, or ORP, is a measure of a substance’s ability to either oxidize or reduce another substance. … A positive reading on an ORP meter means that the substance is an oxidizing agent; a negative reading indicates that the substance is a reducing agent.

Redox (Reduction-oxidation) or ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) is a measure of the oxidising or reducing potential of a water body.

WHAT IS ENVIRONIZE® CATHOLYTE?

EnviroNize® Catholyte:

• has an ORP of ~800-900mV.

• is an alkaline solution produced as a bi-product of the Electro Chemical Activation Process (ECA Process)

• is a mildly alkaline anti-oxidizing solution making it a highly effective detergent and cleaning agent and ideal for use as degreaser having a pH between 10 and 13. Unlike the EnviroNize® Anolyte solution the EnviroNize® Catholyte does not have sterilizing properties but can be used for flocculation (e.g., of heavy metals), coagulation, washing, extraction.

• is very efficient in removing a variety of soils ranging from syrups to fats and oils and is extremely effective in removing organic residues.

WHAT IS ENVIRONIZE® ANOLYTE?

EnviroNize® Anolyte Hypochlorous acid (HOCL):

• has no charge and has a relatively low molecular weight it is better able than the other chlorine-based disinfectants to penetrate the cell walls.

• at pH NEUTRAL is non-hazardous, non-whmis regulated, zero residue and is not harmful to plant, animal, marine or humans.

• is a high ORP solution (ORP above +900mV when fresh)

• is an antimicrobial solution formed from naturally occurring elements.

• attacks an array of microbial organisms. This process is chemically selective with no toxic or mutanogenic side effects for higher forms of life.

• is an environmentally conscious solution which controls a wide spectrum of harmful pathogens.

• is a powerful antimicrobial solution that is both biodegradable and non-accumulative. The key active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, is a naturally occurring molecule synthesized from an electrolyzed solution of salt and water.

• is a concentrated electro-chemically activated solution rich in oxygen, in which pathogens cannot survive.

EnviroNize® Catholyte and Anolyte: Better Together

Deploying a combination of EnviroNize® Catholyte (First to Clean) will remove surface oils and film to prepare the surface. Apply EnviroNize® Anolyte (To Disinfect) allowing 10 minutes of contact time will provide the ultimate protection from harmful pathogens.
